Hillary Pearson is a Philadelphia based dancer and choreographer, originally from Brighton, Michigan. At the age of 29, Hillary began pursuing her modern dance training at Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts. During her time there she worked with artists such as Stefanie Batten Bland and Julie Bour. Upon receiving her bachelors in dance, Hillary has danced with Company Stefanie Batten Bland, Robert Mark Dance and Antonia & Artists. She recently was selected as an artist for the 2015-2016 choreography residency at coLAB Arts, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Hillary continues to choreograph through exploring the medium of film, in collaboration with other artists, such as film director/photographer Casey Brooks and fashion designer Bela Shehu (NINObrand). Hillary also teaches modern technique at various schools of dance in New Jersey, along with private sessions.
Sean Thomas Boyt is a dancer and choreographer newly-based in Philadelphia. He currently dances for The Naked Stark, Anne-Marie Mulgrew & Dancers Co, and SKI BALL. Sean holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Iowa and has danced for Ballet Minnesota, Moving Arts Ensemble, Dancers in Company, and independent choreographers including Esther Baker-Tarpaga, Jennifer Muller, Nicholas Leichter, Chris Masters, Melinda Jean Myers, Nora Gibson, and Paula Lamamie de Clairac. Sean's work has been shown at concerts such as Ten Tiny Performances, InHale Performance Series, Percussive Arts Society International Convention, ETC. Performance Series, iHearIC, Society of Composers Inc, 24+24, and IC Open City, as well as at various University of Iowa concerts and self-produced shows and tours. He enjoys collaboration, working with video, improvisation, and text.
Meredith Stapleton is a Philadelphia-based dance artist and teacher. She grew up in Harvard, MA training at Acton School of Ballet and performing with Commonwealth Ballet Company. In 2013, she graduated from Muhlenberg College as a Dance major and Women's Studies minor. In Spring 2012, Meredith studied in Arezzo, Italy at Accademia dell’Arte. She has attended many summer workshops, including Burklyn Ballet Theater, Alonzo King Lines School of Ballet, the Boston Conservatory, on scholarship withSummer Stages at Concord Academy, and Doug Varone & Dancers. Meredith has performed works by Corrie Cowart, Trinette Singleton, Meredith Rainey,Sean Curran, Teresa Fellion, The Bang Group, Heidi Cruz-Austin, Charlotte Boye-Christensen, and Jeffrey Peterson. Meredith has workedprofessinally with DanceSpora, Nora Gibson Contemporary Ballet, Teresa Vandenendsorge, Megan Flynn Dance Company, DRIGGProductions, Evalina Carbonell, Sean Thomas Boyt, Ashley Sleeth, Kat Sullivan, The Naked Stark, and Antonia & Artists. She rehearses her own stage, site-specific, and film projects out ofHeadlong Studios and Mascher Space Co-op. Meredith has taught at Happy Feet Dance Studio, and Haddonfield School of Dance, and is currently on faculty at Koresh School of Dance and Muhlenberg College.
Evalina Carbonell, known affectionately as, "Wally," received her early training at the National Ballet School in Maryland. She also spent summers at the Washington Ballet School and Alonzo King's Lines Contemporary Ballet School. Evalina earned a BFA in Dance from Florida State University. Upon graduation, she joined the Roxey Ballet Company, dancing as a principal artist from 2005-2011. She has performed as a free-lance artist with the NYC-based Dance Iquail, and in Philadelphia with Antonia & Artists, Jessica Warchal-King, Jae Hoon Lim, Brandi Ou, and Meredith Stapleton, among others. In 2012, Evalina joined the internationally active, Philadelphia-based, Kun-Yang Lin/ Dancers. In addition to her work with Kun-Yang Lin, she performs frequently as a guest artist both nationally and locally, presents her own work in NYC and Philadelphia, and teaches dance, Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis®.
Antonia Z. Brown is a movement inventor. She finds her artistic joy in creating dances that are organic, fluid and imaginative. She is invested in learning about how the moving body speaks, and is fascinated by choreographed moments that are powerful yet ambiguous. As an Artist in Residence at Mascher Space Coop in Philadelphia, Antonia choreographs, performs and works alongside other artists. She graduated in 2013 from Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges with a Dance Major and Concentration in Choreography. In her summer studies, she has been a student at the Laban Institute in London and a Choreographer in Residence at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. Antonia’s choreography has been performed on stages, in studios, in abandoned squash courts and a historic ballroom. In February 2014, she choreographed, produced and performed No Translation, a performance prompted by body language and communication.
Trio C is a collective dance company founded and directed by Gwendolyn LeBar, Kat J. Sullivan, and Nicole Zee. Creating work that is subverting, ironic, and just a little bit wacky, their work has been shown throughout Pennsylvania and New York, including the Triskelion Arts Comedy in Dance Festival.
